Overweight Mom Shrinks Waist By 5 Inches Thanks To This Unusual Audio

#1 Reason Hypnosis For Weight Loss FAILS…(And What To Do Instead) Hi, my name’s Sarah. I’m a 42 year old stay at home mom living in Kentucky. Recently, my friend told me about this weird little fat loss method she read about in a woman’s magazine. When she told me what it was, I was very skeptical. I mean… How many times have we been told about a new ‘miracle’ method that can help you ‘drop a dress size’? Ugh. If you’re anything like me, you’ve tried everything under the sun–fad diets, ab crunches, eating nothing but popcorn (yeah I got that one from Madonna!) But this method is something else. I’m living proof of that, and so are these …

Willo is a robot that wants to replace your toothbrush

If you think about it, the basic concept of a toothbrush hasn’t evolved since… forever. Sure, many people have switched to an electric toothbrush, but it remains a stick with a brush at the end. Willo thinks that’s not good enough. The company has developed an oral care device to improve brushing with a focus on plaque. The company says that basic brushing only cleans 42 percent of dental plaque, while electric brushes clean 46 percent of dental plaque. The startup has worked with actual dentists to design its product. It still sounds a bit mysterious as the company isn’t sharing much about the product. The photo is the only image of the product right now. But what we know …

Found Leaves with Delicate Crochet Embellishments by Susanna Bauer

“Everything That Surrounds Us” In her series of sewn together and crocheted leaves and twigs, Susanna Bauer (previously) considers the fragility of nature and humans’ inextricable tie to its survival. The Cornwall, England-based artist combines the found elements with fine cotton thread to produce unique objects steeped in the history of craft. Intimate marks add detail to small patches or the complete outline of browned leaves, drawing our attention the natural growth pattens found in their interior. A selection of her free-standing and framed sculptures are currently on view with Le Salon Vert at VOLTA Basel in Switzerland through June 15, 2019. You can view more of Bauer’s works formed from leaves, thread, and twigs on her website and Instagram. …

Running Compressed Air Lines in a Shop

Choosing the right pipe First of all, don’t use PVC pipe. If it breaks under pressure, the plastic will shatter and send pieces flying like shrapnel. Use copper instead. It’s available at most hardware stores and home centers. Solder it using the same fittings as you would for water supply lines. If you don’t want to solder, use galvanized or black steel pipe. Measure the pipe runs and buy exact lengths; hardware stores will cut and thread the ends for you. Unlike gas and water lines, air compression lines don’t require perfect joints, so don’t worry if they leak a tiny bit. Firefox’s new logo has more fire, less fox

They warned us that it was coming, and now it’s here: Mozilla took the wraps off its new logo for the storied Firefox web browser today. But before you say “What did they do to that poor fox!” know that the logo you see above actually isn’t the browser logo — that’s the brand-new overarching logo for Mozilla’s whole family of Firefox products, with each component (including the browser) having its own logo, too. Here: See? Fox is alive and well… if a little ethereal. The logo also looks a little like a world on fire, which many of us can easily identify with these days. I think it’ll grow on me. I whipped up this little comparison image so …

Huawei postpones planned laptop launch amid US trade war

Huawei has indefinitely postponed the imminent launch of a new Windows laptop, consumer division Richard Yu has confirmed to CNBC. The product was set for a reveal at the ongoing CES Asia show in Shanghai this week, but trade sanctions from the US government are restricting Huawei’s ability to use American products like Microsoft software and Intel processors. The news was first reported by The Information. Yu described the situation as “unfortunate” to CNBC, saying that the laptop would have been unveiled this week without a release date, but Huawei’s placement on the US Entity List has stopped the company from announcing the product altogether. Whether the laptop ever sees the light of day will depend on how long Huawei …

The best Xbox One S prices, bundles and sales in Australia (June 2019)

With the unveiling of the Xbox One X, the Xbox One S has seen some impressive price drops and bundle deals with Microsoft going all out to pump up the pressure on its rivals. It was already often the cheapest console of the current generation, but with some of these savings on bundles and even Xbox One Controllers, the price seems right.  At this point it's probably wiser to buy a bundle and score some wicked Xbox One games along with the unit, as some of them can come in cheaper than the standalone consoles themselves. Looking to buy in the US or UK? You'll want to head on over to our US page or UK page. Xbox One S …

14 Overused Words That Have Lost Their Meaning Over Time

Genius Ah, “genius.” Once reserved for people of “exceptional” and “extraordinary” intellect and/or creativity—Albert Einstein, Shakespeare, and the like—today people use “genius” to laud pretty much anyone who comes up with a helpful solution or performs a routine fix. Deservedly so or no, you may well have been called a “genius” so often that it hardly even seems like a compliment in most circumstances. Is the dilution of “genius,” and the following comparable words, a “good” or “bad” thing? That certainly depends on who you ask. But there’s no denying that, as the popular, prevailing meanings of words change, they often drift farther and farther away from the “correct” meaning. The post 14 Overused Words That Have Lost Their Meaning Over …

Citrus Zest: How to Bring Yellow Into Modern Wedding Design

We’ve been seeing quite a number of weddings and events incorporating vibrant bursts of yellow lately, and each and every time we’re left in serious awe. Embroidered Women by Klára Hosnedlová Inhabit Installations Inspired by Historic Stage Design

All images © Klára Hosnedlová and Karlin Studios, Prague Berlin-based artist Klára Hosnedlová builds installations that evoke the feeling of romanticized dressing rooms. Her recent exhibition titled Seated Woman (pictured here) was inspired by the stage design of the bedroom scene in the 1924 Karel Hugo Hilar production of Romeo and Juliet at the National Theater in Prague. Instead of a bed, Hosnedlová has installed a sculptural changing area with wispy, transparent curtains. This gesture merges what happens backstage with the theatrical design of a play, inviting the audience to imagine the intimate and unseen moments that happen just off stage. Her textured, baby pink walls also act as armatures for detailed embroideries of women in different stages of dress. Heavily layered, long …
