This is what Porsche’s all-electric Taycan will look like from the inside

Screens. That’s likely the first thing you’ll notice in these images of the Porsche Taycan’s interior: Lots and lots of screens. The Taycan, Porsche’s first all-electric sports car, will officially be unveiled on September 4, and — aside from concept images — we still don’t know how it looks from the outside. But now, Porsche has shared several images of the car’s interior, as well as the philosophy behind its design.  The basic variant of the car will have three screens: A 16.8-inch curved screen with the instrument cluster, a 10.9-inch infotainment display in the middle, and an 8.4-inch touchscreen with haptic feedback in the centre console. The passenger display that’s visible in the images (Porsche didn’t say how big …

Why A Monochromatic Look Is Far From Boring

People might think that wearing one color is a lazy way to avoid putting effort into outfits, or that it’s a boring approach to style. However, the opposite is true – your outfit never clashes, and you get to play with nuanced shades while elegantly popping out of a crowd.     1. Because it looks stunning when you incorporate different textures when working within the same color palette. For instance, mix cable knit and felt, or sequin and silk.   2. Because you look like a queen that slays when color blocking with the seasons – if you’re wearing all black in the middle of the summer, or all light pink in the dead of winter, your look won’t …

Circle construct

If you cast a circle, I know some don’t always use one or use it for everything. But do you just use a regular circle of light or do you have a more personal image, something more intricate, details and designs you can’t get out of your head up all night trying to picture what it would look like. Kinda draining if I think to hard on it. I think I’m going to put some sigils into as well. I’ve scribbled it onto paper and it doesn’t look right, like I still need to build it up. submitted by /u/heisnotwickedwitch [link] [comments] Read more: reddit.com

Freelancing again but pricing eludes me

I haven't done freelancing in several years, and I've decided to get back into it. My freelance gigs before have always been for a close circle of musicians, and I charged a happy median of what they could afford vs what I was comfortable with. Now I'm looking to expand away from people I know personally (and musicians tend to be difficult to work with, no offense to the musicians in the crowd), and I'm really not sure where to start on what to charge. For reference: I specialize in logo design, advertisement design (print ads, retail handouts/mailouts, etc), business card design (my personal favorite thing to do), photography, and I'm venturing into web design. Is there a guide out …

Hong Kong leader Carrie Lam wants to open up ‘dialogue’ with protesters

After 11 weeks of protests, Hong Kong Chief Executive Carrie Lam on Tuesday said the government wants to hold “open and direct” conversations with demonstrators. “Work will start immediately to build a platform of dialogue,” she said. “We hope this dialogue can be built upon a basis of mutual understanding and respect to find a way out for Hong Kong.” Lam also said political leaders will start investigating complaints against police, one of the demands made by protesters. “I sincerely hope this is the start of society returning to calm and turning away from violence,” she said. The protests started with the introduction of a bill that would let people arrested in Hong Kong be extradited to China. The measure …

Question about rapid weight loss

Hey Reddit, A little back ground: I'm 33 y/o male weighing in around 377lbs as of this morning. Prior to this, at the beginning of the month, I weighed 396lbs. I recently had a diverticulitis attack and that caused me to not eat for nearly week. When I was able to start eating, I decided that I would only be putting good things in my body, and religiously counting my calories. I started doing some light exercising too, walking to be specific. From 1 August to 21 August I've lost nearly 19lbs. I know that a healthy weight loss journey is around 2 lbs a week. My concern is am I losing weight too quickly? I know I'm morbidly obese, …
